Juliana Schneider

Juliana founded Escola Schumacher Brasil in 2014 and has been conducting experiential learning processes for over a decade. Her doctoral research explores the experience of liminality: the world of sensations and perceptions that occur at the bodily level before they are rationally available. She proposes a narrative writing practice that starts from the body as a way of developing our perception to make visible what happens in these moments that, because they pass so quickly, become hostage to a retrospective narrative that does not account for their coming-to-be. This fascination with the ‘unspoken sense’ also leads her to the field of literature, with her book of short stories ‘O dia em que eu descobri’ (Patuá, 2023) and her poetry present in anthologies such as Bidê Coletivo (Urutau, 2023), Grão de Pólen: antologia de haikais (Cavalo Azul, 2024) among others. In 2025 she will be launching two new books of poetry, one which she is making through printscreen and letterpress techniques.
