Different RinA memberships

Membership of RinA entails an annual membership fee that entitles each member to maintain a profile on the website and gives them access to the members-only space where work in progress can be shared with other members. It allows members to register for private member-only events as well as public events, and to attend on-line and in-person gatherings that are orgnised during the year. The responsibility of participation in the shared governance of the research community is shared by all members, except Research Practioners, who are represented by their convenor(s).

All memberships are renewed or changed annually to ensure that community membership remains an active engagement that supports the community's work. To inquire about membership please use the Contact Us link on the home page:

RinA Research Member

This is the main active membership for those who are undertaking research along the phases of the RinA Research Fellowship Programme.

Involves an annual membership fee and full involvement with RinA governance.

RinA Research Fellow

These members have completed and published their research and are recognised as Research Fellows by Schumacher Society as our awarding body. They are actively engaged in ongoing research.

Involves an annual membership fee and full invoivement with RinA governance as a postgrad Research Member.

RinA Faculty/Convenors

These are graduate Research Members or guest faculty who are convening introductory programmes for newly joining researchers or are available as supervisors for those enrolled on the RinA Research Fellowship programme.

Involves an annual membership fee and full involvement in RinA governance.

RinA Practitoners

These are members who wish to stay involved with RinA, taking forward reflexive inquiry practices into their worlds of action but are not currently active as enrolled researchers, convenors or supervisors.

Involves an annual membership fee but without regular governance responsibility.
